The Riverside County Agricultural Commissioner's Office promotes and protects the Riverside County agricultural industry and environment, ensuring the health and safety of residents, and fosters confidence and equity in the marketplace.

Building and Safety

The Building and Safety Division is an important element to the county's economic development. This division of the Transportation and Land Management Agency permits and manages the grading, building inspections and plan checks for new construction in Riverside County's unincorporated areas.

Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Department is responsible for enforcing County Land Ordinances, as well as various state and federal laws, in the unincorporated areas. Code Enforcement activities contribute to safe, healthy, sustainable communities and preservation of water quality and natural resources. Code Enforcement seeks to work with property owners to strike a balance between enforcement and  voluntary compliance.

Environmental Health

The Department of Environmental Health protects public health and safety, as well as the environment by issuing permits and conducting inspections for restaurants, spas, body art salons and water wells.
